Indians’ Luck is Running Out


Heading into Saturday night’s game the Indians have lost six of seven.  They hardly look the part of a playoff contender anymore, having been outscored 42 to 19 during those losses.  The pitching, sans another good start by Zach McAllister, has been atrocious and the hitting inconsistent at best.

The team is finally running out of luck.  Or should I say: regression is a bitch.

Since May 1, the team has been outscored 238 to 284 and now owns the sixth worst run differential in baseball, a staggering -47.  Their record shouldn’t be .500 (38-38).  Hell, it shouldn’t even be in the same vicinity.  Theoretically, it should be 33-43, good enough for fourth place in the division.  And, frankly, I blame the organization for not taking a more proactive approach as much as I do regression.
