CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – The Indians enter Thursday night’s first of four against the Tampa Bay Rays still looking up at the Chicago White Sox in the AL Central.
But not by a whole lot.
Thursday with just four games left till the All-Star break, Indians manager Manny Acta said that through 81 games of the 2012 season he’s happy with his club, but knows plenty has to go right in the second half to make a serious run at a title.
“We need to stay healthy obviously, and we need to stay consistent in our hitting and pitching,” Acta said. “I think the hitting is on the way, it’s good to have (Travis) Hafner back, and we all know (Carlos) Santana is going to get better.
