CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – It seems that all the posturing over the Cavaliers being involved as the third team in the possible deal that would send Dwight Howard to Brooklyn is now officially over.
According to Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal that had the Cavs involved is done, at least the Cavs participation in it.
The thought was that the Cavs would get Nets PF Kris Humphries, Orlando’s Quentin Richardson, Brooklyn’s Sundiata Gaines (on a one-year guaranteed deal), a first-round pick and $3 million from the Nets.
In the proposed deal, Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark would be sent to Brooklyn, and the Magic would receive the Nets’ Brook Lopez, Damion James, Sheldon Williams, Cleveland’s Luke Walton and three future first-round picks, sources said.
