Indians Acquire INF/OF Brent Lillibridge From Red Sox

CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) -The Indians today acquired infielder/outfielder Brent Lillibridge from the Boston Red Sox, sending them right handed pitcher Jose De La Torre.

Lillibridge was hitting just .165 between the Chicago White Sox and Red Sox in 2012, with no homers and two RBI. He was part of the June 24th deal that sent Kevin Youkilis to the White Sox.

The 28-year-old, Seattle, Washington native owns a career Major League batting average of .212 (114-538) with 19 doubles, 16 home runs and 58 RBI in 295 career games. He has also stolen 30 bases. Last season was his best offensive Major League campaign to date, hitting .258 (48-186) with 5 2B, a career-high 13 home runs and 29 RBI in 97 games with the White Sox (.340OB/.505SLG/.845OPS).
